The property was developed by Shearings Holidays as a coach depot in the early 1990's and was in use until the company entered administration in May 2020. The existing building is constucted around a steel portal frame with a pitched profile sheet roof, brick and profile sheet clad elevations and a concrete floor throughout. The building is split into two distinct parts; the workshop area has 6.3m eaves, 3 steel roller shutter access doors and 2 inspection pits, and the bus terminal area has 3m eaves and is largely open plan save for an area dedicated to provide toilet and back of house facilities.
The building is situated in the middle of the site and is surrounded by a mixture of different surfaced sections of yard/parking and landscaped areas. The main carparking areas are tarmac surfaced and the bus parking and circulation areas are a combination of concrete, tarmac and block paved.
