Located in the north east of greater London and with award winning parks and stunning scenery, Redbridge is one of London’s most attractive boroughs. It also boasts an interesting history. In the 18th century the Victorians discovered many prehistoric remains beneath the streets including a giant mammoth.
Today the area retains many attractions including the Redbridge Museum, Goodmayes Park and Valentines Mansion.
Popular with families, one fifth of the borough’s population is under 16. With attractions such as Hainault Forest County Park including a petting zoo, play area, woodland paths and lakes, it’s no wonder that families flock to the borough.
Culturally diverse, particularly in the Southern half of the borough, Redbridge enjoys diverse shopping districts including the famous Ilford Lane selling rows of Asian spices, jewellery and silk.
Property in the area is varied and interestingly the majority of homes within the area are owned outright by their occupants. Average property prices sit around £300,000 at the time of writing, however prices have dropped slightly in the last year. As such, property investors are being encouraged to invest before prices rise again.
7 miles from central London and with Crossrail and further development on the cards, commercial property in Redbridge is in high demand.
